Describe the reaction in the U.S. to the aftermath of WW1 and to the spread of communism in 1917 early 1920's

You might mention a few other minor points, like the US and UK invading Russia. We don't pay it much attention here, but it did cause some hard feelings over there. You might also consider mentioning some prominent supporters of the communists (John Reed and Helen Keller come to mind).
