How big a part do football forums play a part in media reporting and speculation?

yes you will probably find that most press speculation about transfers...managers etc have been spoke about in football forums long before the press get wind of it....i saw the kenny miller thing on a rangers forum before it was in the papers but thought it was just a nasty rumour..:(.. were making things too easy for the lazy buggers....:
