Jehovah's Witnesses, does Israel have anything to do with the prophesies of the Bible, for today's times?

Do you understand what I am asking? Most religions today follow what is happening in the Middle East because the Bible is full of prophesies regarding what is going to happen prior to Jesus return . Does your religion also look for these things ? If not why..do you feel they are symbolic..why or why not..thanks in advance!
