When will a great career player get onto a Madden cover?

I mean for real Larry Fitzgerald and Polomalu was a great choice, but what about, Tom Brady, Penning Manning, LaDanian Tomlinson, Drew Brees, Randy Moss, Tony Gonzalez, Matt Ryan all those good players? I man for real in Madden 08 who the hell was Vince Young? Didn't he just finish a decent rookie year when 08 was made?
