What do Republicans think this page of the US Constitution means?

Well technically its a republic, not a democracy, which means we elect people to make decisions. We dont make them directly ourselves. On the other hand the idea there was to elect people smarter than the general public, to be fair to everyone not jus tthe majority. So that probably means some kind of seperation of church and state.
